As the tide shifts on the COVID-19 pandemic, I want to take the time to acknowledge the stress and uncertainty that has been a part of our lives for the past two years, as well as the collective sigh of relief many of us feel as the pandemic turns endemic.
Since joining Lucira in March 2019, I could never have imagined the impact our testing would have on the global population. We will continue to do our part to lessen the spread of the virus by continuing to provide individuals, businesses, and healthcare providers with accurate, clinically proven PCR-quality at-home COVID testing.
Since 2013, Lucira has been creating and refining technology that puts critical test results in the palm of your hand, anywhere, at any time. As leaders in the next generation of testing, we are proud to be at the forefront of creating necessary at-home tests that are revolutionizing the way individuals and healthcare providers manage diagnostic access.
Lucira’s mission is to give consumers at-home diagnostic tools that give them empowered and timely access to their treatment options, recently referred to by President Biden as “test-to-treat”. Just as central lab testing was extended to point-of-care (POC), Lucira’s technology is now extending POC to anytime/anywhere testing. We are currently in the testing and validation stages for new at-home tests that will allow our customers to test themselves for flu/covid, as well as at-home sexual wellness tests.
As we prepare to launch new at-home tests, we look forward to continuing our legacy as the leader of the next generation of at-home diagnostics.
