Supply and Demand Planner

About us: Lucira Health is a startup striving to transform the way infectious diseases are diagnosed. Lucira Health is the first at-home COVID test authorized by the FDA. Our technology is a single-use, user-friendly COVID test kit that can produce a positive or negative result at home within 30 minutes. This technology bypasses centralized medical lab testing and streamlines patient care. Our current areas of focus include COVID and influenza.

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for providing input into the MPS, MRP, and FG supply planning for Lucira Health products
  • Supports production plan development including MRP and PO placement as needed that aligns with the demand forecast
  • Conducts demand planning by using statistical analysis to demonstrate forecast accuracy and bias to market trends
  • Proactively identifies

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong working relationships and communications with manufacturing and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor against customer orders to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Update forecasts based on supply constraints or market swings and communicate to the production planning team(s)
  • Proactively report product and material availability issues
  • Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials and components in conjunction with supply chain and other cross functional teams
  • Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters, reduction and reserve
  • percentage measurements, Product Life Cycle management
  • Project management: new product launch
  • Provide support to Customer Service, Sales team, Product Management with business and
  • product strategy
  • Participate and contribute to S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process
  • Complete special projects and assignments as requested
  • Counting and tracking inventory across multiple locations.
  • Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business needs and launches.
  • Creating forecast accuracy reports and presenting suggestions to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensuring the business has a steady flow of stock without constraining cash flow on materials.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide feedback to Engineering and other cross functional departments on ways to improve manufacturing process.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen and other Lean and waste reduction activities


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of experience working in logistics or supply chain management with demand planning focus.
    • Experienced in Netsuite or similar ERPs

  • Background:
    • Detailed knowledge of logistics and inventory management.
    • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
    • Experience with statistical analysis.
    • Ability to identify and anticipate inventory value based on market trends.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to write and present detailed inventory reports.
